DESCRIPTION
A vibrant dark purple foliage with a sweet and peppery flavour to spice up those salads. Very easy to grow, either in containers, window boxes, or as companion plants between other salad crops. Attractive to look at and great to eat. Quick to germinate.
GROWING TIPS
Sow outside from February to April or July to October. Sow inside all year round. Sow thinly in narrow drills 0.5cm deep. Thin seedlings to either 10cm apart for 'cut & come again' cropping or 25cm apart for larger plants. Keep weed free and well watered in dry periods to protect from bolting but do not over water. If growing as 'cut & come again' regularly pick a few leaves at a time. Harvest at approximately 3 weeks for microgreens and 6–8 weeks for young tender leaves.
