GROWING TIPS
Sow under glass in late April for planting out in May, or sow direct outdoors in May-June
Allow 22-25cm between plants
Harvest from July onwards
These plants benefit from the addition of well rotted manure being added to the site the previous year
Keep plants moist at all times (the addition of a mulch helps retain moisture)
If space is very limited it is possible to crop Scarlet Emperor runner beans in pots or containers but you must pay close attention to watering and never let the compost dry out
Prefer a nice moist but well drained fertile soil and sited in full sun
