DESCRIPTION
A popular and dependable variety producing short-rooted, broad-shouldered parsnips, ideal for most soil types. High-yielding with good canker resistance. Expect medium-length, smooth-skinned roots with excellent flavour and texture.

GROWING TIPS
Parsnips prefer deep, stone-free soil and a location with full sun or partial shade. Sow thinly from February to April, 1/2 inch deep, leaving 12 inches between rows. Avoid sowing during very wet or cold weather. Germination can take up to 3 weeks. If no seedlings appear, re-sow promptly. Thin to 6 inches apart once large enough to handle. Do not transplant thinnings. Minimal care is needed aside from weeding. Harvest when tops begin to die back; roots will store in the ground through winter unless the soil becomes waterlogged.
