DESCRIPTION
A sweet and cold-hardy Italian heirloom variety of savoy cabbage. Similar to the January King cabbage, with a beautiful vibrant colour. Produces compact, round heads with a crisp texture and sweet flavour. Cold resistant and slow to bolt. Versatile in the kitchen; great for fresh eating, coleslaws, stir fries or fermenting.

GROWING TIPS
Starting Indoors: Sow seeds 6–8 weeks before the last frost, 5-10mm deep in moist, well-draining soil. Transplant when seedlings have 3–4 true leaves and outdoor temperatures are above 8-10°C.
Direct Sowing: Sow directly outdoors in spring to early summer. Plant in a sunny location, spacing seeds 30cm apart. Add well rotted manure for an extra boost. Keep soil evenly moist, but avoid overwatering. Protect from pests. Harvest in early to mid winter.
