DESCRIPTION
Dill is a popular culinary herb, mainly grown for its feathery leaves, which have a mild aniseed-like flavour, similar to fennel but more subtle. The leaves are traditionally used to flavour chicken, fish and egg dishes, and it can be chopped into soups and salads. If you sow several small batches from spring to mid-summer, you should have fresh dill leaves to enjoy through into autumn.
GROWING TIPS
It’s easiest to sow dill outdoors from mid-spring, in a sunny spot. Fill a container with potting soil or prepare a garden bed with well-drained soil. Sow the seeds ¾ to 1" deep and 12" apart. Water the seeds and keep the soil moist until they germinate. Thin the seedlings when they are 2" tall. Provide full sun and regular watering for the plants. Sow more seeds every two weeks until early summer and in late summer for a continuous harvest. You can start harvesting in as little as eight weeks.
NEXT BUSINESS DAY DISPATCH
Please note that Royal Mail is now delivering 2nd class post every other weekday (M-F), rather than every day as before. As a result, delivery times are now typically longer. We will continue to dispatch your order promptly, but please allow a little extra time for it to arrive due to these Royal Mail changes that are out of our control.
Please note: Once seeds have been dispatched, we cannot be held responsible for the results of your growing experience. Germination and plant performance depend on many factors outside our control, including weather, soil conditions, watering, and care. ALL our seeds are sourced from trusted UK suppliers and are batch-tested to ensure high quality and good germination rates. Seed counts provided in each listing are approximate; actual quantities may vary slightly due to natural differences in seed size and batch yields. By purchasing, you acknowledge that growing results may vary and accept the terms above.
