With Growing Instructions
DESCRIPTION
A flavourful herb that takes a while to bolt and may be grown as a mature plant or as a cut-and-come-again leafy herb salad. For a constant supply, sow every month; with cloche protection, you can continue to harvest throughout the winter.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
Sow from February to June. Use high-quality compost and thinly sow seeds in a container on a windowsill. Spread 6mm of sieved compost over the seeds. Germination usually takes 7–14 days. Continue to grow in pots and once the plant starts producing leaves (or reaches around 15cm, begin to use the leaves. Sow repeatedly every 3–4 weeks. Harvest regularly.
